“Fundamental right of every child is to receive quality education up to the age of 18, on the basis of equal opportunity, without discrimination, and in an environment of love and care, and with appropriate facilities conducive to joyful self-learning.”
Grammangal draws its inspiration from the pioneering efforts of Gijubhai Badheka, Tarabai Modak and others who led the movement for an inclusive, science-based system educate children in India. They strongly believed that children should enjoy the learning process and that their learning should be meaningful and connected to their immediate environment. [...]
Approach to Child Education
Grammangal’s approach to education is informed by current research in Cognitive Development, Neuroscience, Child Development and Learning. Jean Piaget, widely regarded as the founder of constructivism, showed that children are capable of learning on their own; they learn actively through exploration of their environment. They learn well if they are made responsible for their learning. Studies have shown that such an approach to educating children enables the development of independent learning and problem-solving skills that remain throughout the individual’s life.
